Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Florencio Omero started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the game, Camilo Bertin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos Inc. the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Independiente F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Bertin to maneuver through the defense. Angel Oto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Aimar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Oto in the 21st minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Uriel Aimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Gervasio Rafe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos Inc.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente F.C the free kick. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Angel Oto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Uriel Aimar to make any attempt to save it. Uriel Aimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Oto in the 39th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angel Oto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Santos Inc. booed when Independiente F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Sanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siro Baristo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uriel Aimar. Independiente F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Independiente F.C getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cecilio Fonso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Oto in the 65th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Uriel Aimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Inc.'s Gabriel Sayvion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Santos Inc. from getting a goal against them. After having played for 75 minutes, Eleuterio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urbano Argoitz's late challenge caught a Santos Inc.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Argoitz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Independiente F.C getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Urbano Argoitz hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Jeremias Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliciano Sanson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabriel Sayvion. Santos Inc.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Txatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Eleuterio Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jeremias Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos Inc.'s protests and gave Jeremias Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Santos Inc. got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Lopez. After taking down the ball on Independiente F.C's corner Feliciano Sanson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Sayvion quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santos Inc. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Independiente F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
