An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Perico in the 11th minute of play forced BOCA jrs's goalkeeper Bartolo Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Nerio's late challenge caught a Etchegoyen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermin Nerio helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes BOCA jrs got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Nerio. After 18 played minutes BOCA jrs got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Chabier. Segundo Olayo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saturnino Oto firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 24th minute, BOCA jrs's Fermin Nerio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Saturnino Oto. Saturnino Oto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Segundo Olayo came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Saturnino Oto could save by the left post. After 32 minutes, Teobaldo Perico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Etchegoyen and the BOCA jrs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Etchegoyen got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Perico. Saturnino Oto made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Segundo Olayo sent off a good shot on target. Saturnino Oto was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Segundo Olayo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Segundo Olayo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Etchegoyen's Saturnino Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Nerio in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Benedicto Gai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saturnino Oto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benedicto Gai to strike the kick off in the second half. Urbano Platon got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Segundo Olayo. 55 minutes into the match, Etchegoyen's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Chabier came free, but Saturnino Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobaldo Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, BOCA jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Mede came free, but Bartolo Dimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, BOCA jrs's Segundo Olayo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Saturnino Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Olayo in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Etchegoyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Franco to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Segundo Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rafael Chabier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saturnino Oto was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Etchegoyen's Saturnino Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Chabier in the 89th minute of play. If Alejandro Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Fermin Nerio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saturnino Oto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. BOCA jrs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
