With a little luck, Ávalos's Cornelio Ongile got control of the ball when Tobias Henry tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornelio Ongile made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Tobias Henry sent off a good shot on target. Cornelio Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tobias Henry kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 14thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ávalos's keeper Cornelio Ongile was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Israel Bautista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Cornelio Ongile made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Cresencio in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Ongile saved Ávalos from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Ávalos's goalkeeper Cornelio Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobias Henry. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Donzel in the 25th minute of play forced Ávalos's goalkeeper Cornelio Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Israel Bautista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colmena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Donzel in the 30th minute of play forced Ávalos's goalkeeper Cornelio Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match, Israel Bautista got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cornelio Ongile was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th minute, Arturo Tiadoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Gervasio Cresencio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cornelio Ongile, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Israel Bautista got free with Cornelio Ongile in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Ávalos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Calvet to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Tiadoro was the one to do the kick off. Geronimo Calvet hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ávalos getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Evaristo Egoitz hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gervasio Cresencio sped through Ávalos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornelio Ongile. Ávalos's Geronimo Calvet got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Gervasio Cresencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colmena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Cresencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ávalos getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Evaristo Egoitz hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match Simon Cebrian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Ongile skillfully saved the ball. Cornelio Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Donzel in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Colmena getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gervasio Cresencio hit a great ball. Arturo Tiadoro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tobias Henry struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Cornelio Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colmena. After having played for 75 minutes, Arturo Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobias Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Ávalos's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Cresencio came free, but Cornelio Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ávalos's zone, Gervasio Cresencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Ongile came out of the goal and Gervasio Cresencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geronimo Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Clodio having to interfere.
