Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Froilan Astigar started the match with the kick off. Froilan Astigar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Ur having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Froilan Astigar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caroya FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Froilan Astigar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Patxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Frechoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caroya FC's zone, Rodrigo Frechoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Patxi came out of the goal and Rodrigo Frechoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mario Ur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Domiku was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ACADEMIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caroya FC the free kick. In the 28th minute Iker Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Ur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Patxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Frechoso in the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Cordareo during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ACADEMIA! The referee gave Caroya FC a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romeo Beremundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ACADEMIA's Mario Ur. 0-1. If Rodrigo Frechoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Caroya FC's goalkeeper Joel Patxi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Jesco. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Frechoso to make the kick off. Iker Berdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Ur having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Caroya FC's Iker Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Ur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Joel Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Frechoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Berdoi in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Ur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. ACADEMIA's Teofilo Jesco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, ACADEMIA's Rodrigo Frechoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Patxi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teofilo Jesco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Patxi having to make a save.
