Paulino Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Atahualpa Yupanqui's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Hats came free, but Teo Hibai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Hats in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Hibai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laureano Palban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Teo Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Hats's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Hibai was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Atahualpa Yupanqui's zone, Laureano Palban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidio Hats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atahualpa Yupanqui's Julian Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54thth minute of the game Ovidio Hats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atahualpa Yupanqui's Teo Hibai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Elpidio Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Rozarius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Hibai having to interfere. Laureano Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Bernabe Rozarius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Dino in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Paulino Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 minutes, Julian Havier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atahualpa Yupanqui and the Arauco AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julian Havier hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
