In the 19th minute Apolo Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Silban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Silban having to interfere. The supporters of Tejeda AFC booed when Mixto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Enzo Mateus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mixto AFC's zone, Gonzalo Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Silban came out of the goal and Gonzalo Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Julian Sandalio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mixto AFC's Everardo Silban. Everardo Silban was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Havier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Everardo Silban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Silban having to interfere. Apolo Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Apolo Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gonzalo Lorenz came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tejeda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Lorenz couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apolo Havier was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mixto AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apolo Havier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Apolo Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Mixto AFC's goalkeeper Everardo Silban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Lorenz. Gonzalo Lorenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Everardo Silban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tejeda AFC's Apolo Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Apolo Havier fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Everardo Silban, passed just outside the right post. Benigno Maldonado hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Mixto AFC's Everardo Silban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Havier in the 80th minute of play. Candido Abajas's late challenge caught a Tejeda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Candido Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tejeda AFC booed when Mixto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th play minute Ruperto Gaueko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Everardo Silban. 0-2. Gonzalo Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Silban having to interfere. In the 95th minute Apolo Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Silban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tejeda AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
