In the 3rd minute, Córdoba's Marcos Gasteiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Severo Hernandez. Severo Hernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Bernardo Kimetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Hernandez having to interfere. Ciro Pepillo scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severo Hernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bernardo Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Bernardo Kimetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Ciro Pepillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 31 minutes, Mateo Galeno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Córdoba and the C.A. Juventud Rafaela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.A. Juventud Rafaela booed when Córdoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Galeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Tiso in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Xacintu saved Córdoba from getting behind. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Córdoba's goalkeeper Ernesto Xacintu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Haroldo Pere came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the C.A. Juventud Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Pere couldn't finish the play. If Haroldo Pere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Kimetz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Anselmo Tiso made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Córdoba booed when C.A. Juventud Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, C.A. Severo Hernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, C.A. Juventud Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Galeno came free, but Severo Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Córdoba's Ciro Pepillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severo Hernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquin Henry took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Xacintu. Ernesto Xacintu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Haroldo Pere managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Juventud Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Pere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Xacintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of C.A. Juventud Rafaela booed when Córdoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Galeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Gervaso hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Juventud Rafaela's zone, Marcos Gasteiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Hernandez came out of the goal and Marcos Gasteiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Valery during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Córdoba booed when C.A. Juventud Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Córdoba were the better team. Córdoba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
