Saturnino Telo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Gilesindo in the 4th minute of play. When Leandro Laurentzi fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpintería's protests and gave Leandro Laurentzi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carpintería's Leandro Laurentzi got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Cibran in the 11th minute of play forced Goicó FC's goalkeeper Benito Guerau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Goicó FC booed when Carpintería was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Rius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Romulo Cristofol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goicó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Cristofol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Benicio Gilesindo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goicó FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benicio Gilesindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Telo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Goicó FC booed when Carpintería was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Sabin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Ulises Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Guerau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Guerau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Mon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Guerau having to interfere. Saturnino Telo had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Romulo Cristofol's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Saturnino Telo came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Goicó FC's Romulo Cristofol. But to his dismay, Romulo Cristofol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Benicio Gilesindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benicio Gilesindo made a kick off. Leonel Mon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Benito Guerau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leonel Mon struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Benito Guerau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpintería. Benito Guerau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Cibran, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Emiliano Victoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Saturnino Telo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Ulises Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Guerau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Cibran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goicó FC's Benito Guerau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Cibran in the 94th minute of play. Carpintería's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
