The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eulalio Cordeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Felipo in the 9th minute of play forced Cufa FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Cornelio Lucado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karabana FC's Lucio Felipo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cufa FC's Eulalio Cordeal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Cufa FC from getting a goal against them. Lucio Felipo might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Cordeal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Felipo ran back to his position shaking his head. Cufa FC's Eulalio Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Felipo in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Quentin during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 37 minutes, Lucio Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karabana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Felipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rigoberto Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the match, Cufa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Felipo came free, but Eulalio Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cufa FC's Eulalio Cordeal got control of the ball when Timoteo Fiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucio Felipo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Eulalio Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Cufa FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Cordeal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Gorri. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Bastiaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cufa FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cornelio Lucado hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Lucio Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karabana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Felipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cufa FC's zone, Lucio Felipo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Cordeal came out of the goal and Lucio Felipo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cufa FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Eulalio Cordeal went to the wrong direction when Donato Berto was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Eulalio Cordeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes, Christian Bastiaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cufa FC and the Karabana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Cufa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Bastiaro to maneuver through the defense. Karabana FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Cufa FC to leave the ground with a draw.
