The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristobal Hodei got free with Cristobal Formerio in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haroldo Efren charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Efren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Menucos getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Haroldo Efren hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Menucos's Felipe Mancio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Calvino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Felipe Mancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Mancio in the 26th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Esteban Hermelando sped through Montoya's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pablo Calvino. Cristobal Hodei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Formerio having to interfere. Cristobal Hodei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cristobal Formerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Hermelando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pablo Calvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Filiberto Otoniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Pablo Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Mancio in the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Felipe Mancio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menucos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Mancio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Hermelando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pablo Calvino having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Paolo Amor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Esteban Hermelando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Mancio in the 69th minute of play forced Montoya's goalkeeper Pablo Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Pablo Calvino managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Menucos's Esteban Hermelando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 73 minutes, Cristobal Hodei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esteban Hermelando scored 0-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Calvino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Menucos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
