When Donato Lano came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Forres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Lano couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Donato Lano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Arlo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, alianza fc's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Lano came free, but Marcial Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Donato Lano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Nafarroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Santiago Rey made a huge save. Omar Satordi might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Arlo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Satordi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jairo Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind alianza fc's goalkeeper Marcial Arlo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, alianza fc's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Satordi came free, but Marcial Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Omar Satordi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Omar Satordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Forres booed when alianza fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Bautista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Forres were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Nafarroa to make the kick off. Marcial Arlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Satordi in the 53rd minute of play. Donato Lano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Forres's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 57th minute, Omar Satordi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcial Arlo, passed just outside the right post. In the 61st minute, Forres's Omar Satordi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. alianza fc's Marcial Arlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Satordi in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Satordi in the 68th minute of play forced alianza fc's goalkeeper Marcial Arlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Omar Satordi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but alianza fc's Marcial Arlo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute Omar Satordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Arlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Satordi struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Marcial Arlo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forres. Donato Lano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Marcial Arlo made a huge save. Omar Satordi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Arlo having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Omar Satordi rounded alianza fc's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3.
