With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogelio Jacob in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apolo Gartzen saved Gallegos from getting behind. A collision led to Gallegos getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alvaro Gines hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Rogelio Jacob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teodolina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Jacob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Gartzen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodolina FC's Casimiro Baladi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gallegos. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apolo Gartzen was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Maximiliano Reyes fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teodolina FC's protests and gave Maximiliano Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Teodolina FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogelio Jacob stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rogelio Jacob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Gartzen having to interfere. When Aureliano Cebrian came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Teodolina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Cebrian couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, one of Gallegos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gallegos. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Teodolina FC. Casimiro Baladi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Apolo Gartzen. 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Rogelio Jacob got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 70 minutes into the game, Aureliano Cebrian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teodolina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gallegos the free kick. Aureliano Cebrian kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogelio Jacob in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apolo Gartzen saved Gallegos from getting behind. The long shot by Efrain Buinton in the 75th minute really tested Apolo Gartzen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aureliano Cebrian got free with Apolo Gartzen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute of the match, Aureliano Cebrian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apolo Gartzen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Aureliano Cebrian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Rogelio Jacob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aureliano Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Seber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Polo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
