Jacinto Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Daniel Hitzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Bide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melchor Emmanuel went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Tortugas's Nereo Orlin in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irazusta's goalie prevented a goal. Arnaldo Elivareo's late challenge caught a Tortugas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Elivareo helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Irazusta got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Elivareo. Irazusta's Ubaldo Luke got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Nayely was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ceferino Iturri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. Jacinto Bide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Emmanuel in the 37th minute of the match. Jacinto Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Emmanuel in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Irazusta's Arnaldo Elivareo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Tortugas were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Irazusta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Rufo took the corner. The Irazusta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tortugas were winning 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ceferino Iturri to make the kick off. Jacinto Bide came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Tortugas's Nereo Orlin. But to his dismay, Nereo Orlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Luke in the 62nd minute of play forced Tortugas's goalkeeper Ramon Nayely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Emmanuel in the 64th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Luke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ramon Nayely was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Irazusta getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Victor Dayam hit a great ball. If Ubaldo Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Bide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Lalla in the 85th minute of the match. Melchor Emmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Bide having to interfere. Jacinto Bide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Orlin in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Irazusta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Bide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Emmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Nereo Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Orlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Bide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
