After having played for 6 minutes, Victorio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletic Club Fire Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bartolo Lonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Azubeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Virila having to interfere. Athletic Club Fire Star's Hugo Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anastasio Inguma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Beltza in the 32nd minute of play. After 36 played minutes BELGRANO got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Platon. Victorio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victorio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Azubeli to strike the kick off in the second half. Bartolo Lonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Virila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Bartolo Lonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Fire Star's Victorio Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Inguma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 64 minutes, Victorio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bartolo Lonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Eugenio Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Flavio Azubeli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Virila. Athletic Club Fire Star's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavio Azubeli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 93rd minute, Victorio Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anastasio Inguma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Beltza in the 95th minute of play. Rodolfo Vidal's late challenge caught a Athletic Club Fire Star's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. Rodolfo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 98th minute Hugo Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Inguma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
