In the 16th minute, River Plate's Jacinto Abadie seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jacinto Abadie the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of River Plate protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jacinto Abadie had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 15 minutes into the game, one of River Plate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miguel Evis came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Tupungata's Tiburcio Nalo. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Nalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Miguel Evis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Egun kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. River Plate's Miguel Evis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Ekain in the 29th minute of play. Miguel Evis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Oroitz in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Tupungata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Isias to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes, Evelio Estevon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Tupungata players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evelio Estevon hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Emilio Vitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bonifacio Perutxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Abad charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Abad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Tomás Abad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Evis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Oroitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tupungata's Saverio Isias got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Tupungata were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Gervasio Ekain made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Cosme Oroitz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel Evis, 1-3. When Gervasio Ekain, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Miguel Evis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The throw-in from Saverio Isias in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by River Plate's German Egun. In the 64th minute, Emilio Vitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Tupungata's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Estevon came free, but Bonifacio Perutxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Cosme Oroitz took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Miguel Evis to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Oroitz got free with Miguel Evis in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. River Plate's Evelio Estevon got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tupungata's Bonifacio Perutxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Estevon in the 83rd minute of play. Miguel Evis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Abad in the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Evelio Estevon managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Estevon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifacio Perutxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Evis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Abad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Evis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Ourente in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tupungata walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
