When Irigoyen FC's Blas Mino in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gerli Por Siempre's goalie prevented a goal. Teobaldo Goiz struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Saul Aztore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irigoyen FC. Saul Aztore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Saverio Handi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerli Por Siempre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irigoyen FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, one of Gerli Por Siempre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gerli Por Siempre. In the 12th minute Blas Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Bizi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saul Aztore having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Mino in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Aztore saved Gerli Por Siempre from getting behind. Gerli Por Siempre's Saul Aztore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Mino in the 23rd minute of play. Rene Santio hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Goiz in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Aztore saved Gerli Por Siempre from getting behind. Blas Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Saul Aztore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Nestor Handi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Goiz in the 35th minute of play forced Gerli Por Siempre's goalkeeper Saul Aztore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Federigo in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Irigoyen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Menendo to maneuver through the defense. Saul Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Mino in the 45th minute of play. When Teobaldo Goiz came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Irigoyen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Goiz couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Mino to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Gerli Por Siempre got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Urti. When Irigoyen FC's Teobaldo Goiz, in the 53rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Irigoyen FC. Blas Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Aztore having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Gerli Por Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Urti to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Handi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Blas Mino struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Saul Aztore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irigoyen FC. In the 72nd minute, Teobaldo Goiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gerli Por Siempre's zone, Blas Mino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Aztore came out of the goal and Blas Mino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Gerli Por Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Irigoyen FC's Gonzalo Chano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Saul Aztore but with some difficulty. A collision led to Gerli Por Siempre getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Geronimo Guerau hit a great ball. Saul Aztore made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Teobaldo Goiz sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Teobaldo Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irigoyen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Goiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Aztore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irigoyen FC played a much better game than Gerli Por Siempre and deserved their victory. The Gerli Por Siempre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
