Guillermo Bento charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Deportivo Farmaco's Gaudencio Niva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Izel in the 13th minute of play. Gaudencio Niva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, La Gringoneta FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafael Caton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafael Caton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Leonel Loramendi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Baltasar Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Andres Harkaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Farmaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Harkaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Caton might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel Loramendi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Caton ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Izel made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Lucio Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Niva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Breogan kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Baltasar Matai came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Deportivo Farmaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Matai couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, La Gringoneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Caton came free, but Leonel Loramendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Gringoneta FC! The referee gave Deportivo Farmaco a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Agustin Otoniel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Gringoneta FC's Leonel Loramendi. 1-1. La Gringoneta FC's Gustavo Hug got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rafael Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Farmaco's zone, Gustavo Hug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Niva came out of the goal and Gustavo Hug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The La Gringoneta FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Deportivo Farmaco from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
