Africans's Armando Mikolas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Millrick in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Aquiles Abancens notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Africans's Armando Mikolas. Armando Mikolas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Omar Feo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Armando Mikolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Mikolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Africans getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Amancio Fernandez hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Amancio Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Mikolas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Feo in the 33rd minute of play. Zeledon Guillelmo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeledon Guillelmo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Instituto ACC a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fulgencio Kaxen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Africans's Armando Mikolas. 0-2. In the 41st match minute, Africans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. The Africans players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Instituto ACC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Martino to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Damian Martino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rolando Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Abancens hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Africans's Armando Mikolas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Africans from getting a goal against them. Rolando Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Mikolas having to interfere. Omar Feo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Armando Mikolas made a huge save. Damian Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Damian Martino came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Africans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Martino couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Martin Millrick made a precise shot to the right of Armando Mikolas. Africans's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Abaurre in the 93rd minute of play forced Africans's goalkeeper Armando Mikolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Rolando Abaurre fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Armando Mikolas, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Instituto ACC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
