After taking down the ball on El gallo's corner Fernando Eladio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Narciso Mambru quite easily take care of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Andres Franco notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of El gallo's Braulio Ibañez. In the 59th minute, Andres Franco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braulio Ibañez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in El gallo's zone, Andres Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Ibañez came out of the goal and Andres Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of San Fulgencio booed when El gallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Baraquiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Guillelmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Braulio Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Fulgencio's zone, Benigno Nikola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Mambru came out of the goal and Benigno Nikola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
