Saul Gaspard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Tancredo in the 19th minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC PORTO reached it. After 95 minutes, Gavino Boni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lezama AFC and the FC PORTO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lezama AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. The FC PORTO fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lezama AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
