With an all-out effort, J J Urquiza's Paolo Cucao threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico Gabirel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Portezuelo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Samuel Quintyn hit a great ball. Severiano Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Gaston Vitins short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Paolo Cucao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute Samuel Quintyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Vitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paolo Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Federico Gabirel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emanuel Abar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Julio Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paolo Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Gabirel in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Abar in the 41st minute of play forced J J Urquiza's goalkeeper Julio Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Quintyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Rey having to interfere. Julio Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Abar, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Quintyn to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind J J Urquiza's goalkeeper Julio Rey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Emanuel Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The J J Urquiza supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Portezuelo's performance. The match ended with a win for Portezuelo.
