Natalio Saturnin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Adolfo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Ignado might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Fortun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Ignado ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Serafino Gombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Saturnin was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Curacó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Cruz came free, but Natalio Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Luis Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Saira's zone, Adolfo Ignado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Fortun came out of the goal and Adolfo Ignado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Fortun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Ignado in the 48th minute. The Curacó AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saira were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafino Gombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Saturnin having to interfere. Natalio Saturnin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Luis Cruz sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Rosendo Teodor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Fortun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Ignado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Baldomero Fortun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saira's Baldomero Fortun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Leoncio in the 65th minute of play. Adolfo Ignado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Fortun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casimiro Leoncio's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Baldomero Fortun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Leoncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Adolfo Ignado notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Saira's Baldomero Fortun. Baldomero Fortun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baldomero Fortun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Leoncio in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute Casimiro Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Fortun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Casimiro Leoncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curacó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Leoncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curacó AFC's Natalio Saturnin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Curacó AFC from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
