Teobaldo Porfirio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Karmel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lanús FC's Aquiles Muno got a free kick in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Segundo Lluterio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lanús FC's Ernesto Clodio. Ernesto Clodio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Luisito Karmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Lluterio in the 41st minute of play forced Lanús FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Clodio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Tebaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Patricio Cresconio's late challenge caught a Lanús FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Cresconio helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Cresconio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Teobaldo Porfirio could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Camilo Jon however easily saved by the left post.

After a rather tough play, Lanús FC's Amancio Breogan got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Severo Cordarell made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Jon. Club Atletico Tucuman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Club Atletico Tucuman's Camilo Jon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Porfirio in the 87th minute of play. If Segundo Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Atletico Tucuman's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
