Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benito Oton took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Gavino Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Leo Bordat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Oton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Quintana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Atenas de Río Cuarto booed when Matheu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Chabier came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gaston Quintana could save by the left post. When Matheu AFC's Tomás Santos in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atenas de Río Cuarto's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Oton might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Quintana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benito Oton ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Tomás Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leo Bordat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inocencio Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gavino Virila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Gavino Virila made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Chabier in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaston Quintana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Genaro Kemen charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Kemen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Atenas de Río Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Kemen. Leo Bordat made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Tomás Santos sent off a good shot on target. Matheu AFC's Gavino Virila got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leo Bordat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Santos went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matheu AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Quintana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaston Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Chabier in the 72nd minute of the match. Gavino Virila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Matheu AFC's Leo Bordat threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gavino Virila, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 80th match minute, Atenas de Río Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Oskarbi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Tomás Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Froilan Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Froilan Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Virila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Leo Bordat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matheu AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
