Marcos Maurino took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filiberto Aguirre. Filiberto Aguirre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Francisco Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Caton having to interfere. Orlando Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Veto in the 19th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Francisco Veto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Aquilino Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Veto in the 34th minute of play. Romulo Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cubanea FC's Romulo Pacifico in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Buinton was the one to do the kick off. Rene Buinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Filiberto Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filiberto Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Maurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rayo Futbol Club's Marcos Maurino got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Rene Buinton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filiberto Aguirre was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 76 minutes, Aquilino Heriberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cubanea FC and the Rayo Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Rene Buinton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rayo Futbol Club had won after a very even match.
