Juan Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malabrigo AFC's Enrique Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Rexino in the 8th minute of play. When Juan Baristo came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Club Atlético Ángeles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Baristo couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Uhin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Igor Rexino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Ángeles's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Rexino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Sugar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute Juan Baristo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Juan Baristo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Sugar. Malabrigo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Baristo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Pascual Sayvion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geronimo Paulin. Club Atlético Ángeles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club Atlético Ángeles's Igor Rexino got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pascual Sayvion hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Geronimo Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Uhin in the 45th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Venceslao made a kick off. Enrique Sugar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Baristo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Venceslao in the 60th minute of play forced Club Atlético Ángeles's goalkeeper Geronimo Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Juan Baristo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malabrigo AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Sugar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roberto Bartolome kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Juan Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute Igor Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Rexino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Sugar having to interfere. When Roberto Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malabrigo AFC's protests and gave Roberto Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Roberto Bartolome hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
