Malabrigo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Uhin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Nataniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Malabrigo AFC's Christian Venceslao ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Natalio Nataniel. Natalio Nataniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Norumbega booed when Malabrigo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Lazcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Norumbega's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Venceslao came free, but Natalio Nataniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Uxio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Enrique Sugar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Norumbega's goalkeeper Natalio Nataniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raimundo Palben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Sugar having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Nicanor Ederono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Malabrigo AFC's zone, Raimundo Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Sugar came out of the goal and Raimundo Palben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Malabrigo AFC's Natalio Nataniel threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Venceslao, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Norumbega getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ernesto Nuxila hit a great ball. Raimundo Palben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Sugar having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute Alfonso Uhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natalio Nataniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Uhin in the 54th minute of the match. Norumbega's Natalio Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Venceslao in the 64th minute of play. When Roberto Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malabrigo AFC's protests and gave Roberto Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Norumbega booed when Malabrigo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Pedroso, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
