After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Horacio Gomesano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niquivil AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Gomesano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Frechoso in the 44th minute of play forced Niquivil AFC's goalkeeper Mariano Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benjamin Illan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Benjamin Illan made the kick off in the second half. Horacio Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Venancio Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Caton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Venancio Cesario made a huge save. Tocol's Venancio Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Gomesano in the 69th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
