After having played for 3 minutes, Severiano Fix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Fix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jacobo Kismi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Montrell was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. If Jacobo Kismi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Montrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Kismi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jacobo Kismi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Victoriano Montrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Giraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Jacobo Kismi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Montrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felipe Mercurio made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Faustino Iaki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pedernales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kitty Club the free kick. 58 minutes into the game, one of Pedernales:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kitty Club a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Horacio Tipi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pedernales's Bartolo Giraldo. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Mercurio in the 69th minute of play forced Pedernales's goalkeeper Bartolo Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Giraldo having to interfere. Fidel Karmel charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Karmel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pedernales getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Fidel Karmel hit a great ball. Felipe Mercurio took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Giraldo. Bartolo Giraldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Enrique Gudesteo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A collision led to Kitty Club getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Enrique Gudesteo hit a great ball. Kitty Club's Victoriano Montrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Kismi in the 88th minute of play. If Jacobo Kismi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kitty Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pedernales had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
