Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Agustins Fc's Honorio Sandaili started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Leonel Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The tension between the Agustins Fc and the Los Pibes Del Ameghino players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Agustins Fc getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pibes Del Ameghino's zone, Tomás Maurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urbano Medina came out of the goal and Tomás Maurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Honorio Sandaili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Medina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Maurin struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Urbano Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agustins Fc. Melquiades Eskuin got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Los Pibes Del Ameghino booed when Agustins Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Eskuin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Tomás Maurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agustins Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Maurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urbano Medina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Agustins Fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Isaio to make the kick off.
