Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Candido Macias got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Monteverde got a freekick which was hit by Federico Urritz. When Federico Urritz came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Monteverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Urritz couldn't finish the play. Candido Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Paulino Ciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Monteverde's zone, Hernan Lander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Ciano came out of the goal and Hernan Lander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hernan Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Lander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulino Ciano having to make a save. Candido Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Paulino Ciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Tinta Calamar's Hernan Lander made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulino Ciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Federico Urritz struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fermin Otsoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monteverde. In the 37th minute, Federico Urritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Chucho charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Chucho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliseo Chucho took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fermin Otsoa. Fermin Otsoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Urritz to strike the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino Ciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Macias in the 61st minute of play. The corner led Tinta Calamar's Angelo Saturnin to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulino Ciano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulino Ciano came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Tinta Calamar's Hernan Lander. But to his dismay, Hernan Lander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Lander in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulino Ciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulino Ciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Macias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Ciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Macias in the 82nd minute of play. When Candido Macias came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Tinta Calamar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Macias couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Eliseo Chucho got a free kick in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Monteverde's zone, Candido Macias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
