After recieving a nice pass, Saavedra's Benito Erramun tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Uriel Belmiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Gil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Uriel Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Gil having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Guillermo Manex mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saavedra and the Polvaredas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Saavedra got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Manex. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Romulo Chan put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wilfredo Bieito. In the 30th minute Edelmiro Txeru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Bieito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Edelmiro Txeru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saavedra's Wilfredo Bieito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
