Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guaberto Ostots kicked off to start the match. Rodolfo Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Ciceron having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Rodolfo Vergaray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martínez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 12 minutes, Rodolfo Vergaray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martínez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Vergaray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Paulo Rico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faustino´s Angels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martínez the free kick. After 13 played minutes Faustino´s Angels got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Rico. If Reynaldo Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Vergaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leonides Ciceron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Ciceron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rene Telesforo charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Telesforo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Faustino´s Angels booed when Martínez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Telesforo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Cordaro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Reynaldo Bazkoare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Faustino´s Angels's Guaberto Ostots sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Enaut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Vergaray in the 43rd minute of play forced Faustino´s Angels's goalkeeper Leonides Ciceron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Amor hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Vergaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Leonides Ciceron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Faustino´s Angels's Hernan Amor got a free kick in the 46th minute. Martínez were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Faustino´s Angels's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lino Ubarna took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Leonides Ciceron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Telesforo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustino´s Angels's Leonides Ciceron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Faustino´s Angels from getting a goal against them. Martínez's Rogelio Enaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Bazkoare in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Martínez's goalkeeper Rogelio Enaut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonides Ciceron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Telesforo in the 68th minute of play. Rogelio Enaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Ostots in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Martínez's zone, Reynaldo Bazkoare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Enaut came out of the goal and Reynaldo Bazkoare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Guaberto Ostots managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faustino´s Angels's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Ostots was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Enaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hipolito Cordaro was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 75 played minutes Martínez got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Cordaro. 78 minutes into the match, Martínez's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Ostots came free, but Rogelio Enaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rene Telesforo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Martínez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Telesforo couldn't finish the play. Faustino´s Angels's Reynaldo Bazkoare got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Martínez supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Martínez would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
