The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the game, Faustino Astrada recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Santiago Cortez. Faustino Astrada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. If Zacarias Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Nardo was the one to do the kick off. Santiago Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Santiago Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, TORTUGAS CC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Astrada came free, but Santiago Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Gualterio Gabon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zacarias Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Saverio Sauveur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Saul Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Vermudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saul Edorta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Vermudo ran back to his position shaking his head. Zacarias Vermudo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saul Edorta having to make a save. The Provolone FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
