After having played for 8 minutes, Nicanor Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Porvenir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Leoiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Txatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Etxepare in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes Humberto Etxepare rounded Crotto's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Humberto Etxepare charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Etxepare the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, El Porvenir's Humberto Etxepare got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Luciano Gaitano came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Crotto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Gaitano couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, El Porvenir's Adrian Videl got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Nunez Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Godfredo Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Porvenir booed when Crotto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Gaitano scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo Feo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Etxepare stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Luciano Gaitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, El Porvenir's goalkeeper Godfredo Feo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Gaitano. 57 minutes into the match, Humberto Etxepare notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Crotto's Virgilio Txatxu. Virgilio Txatxu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgilio Txatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Etxepare in the 76th minute of play forced Crotto's goalkeeper Virgilio Txatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Txatxu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Etxepare went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Crotto getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Leandro Liher hit a great ball. After 83 minutes, Ciro Formerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Porvenir and the Crotto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Porvenir's Ciro Formerio got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Virgilio Txatxu came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by El Porvenir's Humberto Etxepare. But to his dismay, Humberto Etxepare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Porvenir had won after a very even match.
