Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Isidro Ramond made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 8th minute, Salvador Mirande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isidro Ramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Piquirenda's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Ramond came free, but Hector Gabirel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Vergaray's late challenge caught a Ben-Hur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Vergaray helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Piquirenda getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gaston Vergaray hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Hipolito Umea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Gabirel skillfully saved the ball. Isidro Ramond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Hector Gabirel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gogo Liher came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Piquirenda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Liher couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Isidro Ramond notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Piquirenda's Hector Gabirel. Hector Gabirel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Eriberto Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Katia struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Federico Salomone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquirenda. Gogo Liher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Salomone having to make a save. Isidro Ramond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Hector Gabirel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Domingos Katia made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute of the match Hipolito Umea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Gabirel skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Piquirenda's zone, Isaac Jobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Gabirel came out of the goal and Isaac Jobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucio Benino fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ben-Hur's protests and gave Lucio Benino a yellow card for diving instead. Lucio Benino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Piquirenda's goalkeeper Hector Gabirel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Jobo. Salvador Mirande helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda's Salvador Mirande got a free kick in the 70th minute. Hector Gabirel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Ramond in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gogo Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquirenda's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Liher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Salomone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Jobo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Pio's late challenge caught a Ben-Hur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Pio helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice moves Isaac Jobo could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Hector Gabirel however easily saved by the left post. Gogo Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
