Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquin Urritz started the match with the kick off. When Florencio Peruanton came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Deportivo Campana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Peruanton couldn't finish the play. Atilano Hanni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Cristofor, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Lucio Mikelats kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Deportivo Campana's Jesus Figueroa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Independiente. Eugenio Jokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Severo Orlanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Jokin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Orlanda having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Atilano Hanni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Peruanton. Severo Orlanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Joaquin Urritz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Deportivo Campana's Severo Orlanda. Severo Orlanda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Campana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Severo Orlanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Jokin in the 38th minute of play. When Eugenio Jokin fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Eugenio Jokin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo Campana booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eugenio Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Peruanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Atilano Hanni made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Cristofor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Cristofor in the 58th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Atilano Hanni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Mergildo charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Mergildo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Alvaro Mergildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Deportivo Campana's Severo Orlanda got control of the ball when Eugenio Jokin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severo Orlanda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Jokin went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Severo Orlanda was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Joaquin Urritz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquin Urritz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 97th minute Pascual Cristofor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Independiente eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
