Elpidio Tiniebra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Herensuge having to interfere. Cienaguilla FC's Elpidio Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hilario Jakue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaime Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Salomon having to interfere. The supporters of Tacupampa booed when Cienaguilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Cienaguilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Jakue came free, but Ruperto Salomon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tacupampa's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Salomon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tacupampa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cienaguilla FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
