In the 5th minute, Gregorio Montae made a precise shot to the right of Cristo Katia. Sportivo Villa Alvear's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Albino Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Sarmiento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Segio. Cristo Katia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Montae in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Sportivo Villa Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Soin to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes of play, Sarmiento AFC's Gregorio Montae made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristo Katia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anibal Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Gregorio Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's Roman Jaunzuria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristo Katia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gregorio Montae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cristo Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Jaunzuria succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. 44 minutes into the game, Anibal Caton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Villa Alvear's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento AFC the free kick. The supporters of Sarmiento AFC booed when Sportivo Villa Alvear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Caton didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Jaunzuria to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristo Katia made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Domingo Segio sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes, Eusebio Frechoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarmiento AFC and the Sportivo Villa Alvear players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Eusebio Frechoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Albino Soin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Villa Alvear's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Soin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Silvanito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sarmiento AFC's Raimundo Silvanito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Caton in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Albino Soin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gregorio Montae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Katia having to interfere. Anibal Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raimundo Silvanito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Silvanito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albino Soin went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorio Montae got free with Cristo Katia in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Roman Jaunzuria reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristo Katia. The goal made the score 1-4. Albino Soin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Silvanito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Soin ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sarmiento AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
