After a defensive mix-up in Cultura FC's zone, Ruperto Opilano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Paulin came out of the goal and Ruperto Opilano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Fonso's late challenge caught a Guañizul AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Fonso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cultura FC's goalkeeper Marcos Paulin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Baldomiro Maureo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cultura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomiro Maureo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Arnaldo Lapurdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cultura FC's Marcos Paulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruperto Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Cultura FC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Castulo. In the 46th minute, Ruperto Opilano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Paulin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomiro Maureo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guañizul AFC played a much better game than Cultura FC and deserved their victory. The Cultura FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
