Leo Pacifico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rigoberto Niguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barreal FC's Hipolito Suero got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Ferdinand made a kick off. After some careless play in the Ciénaga FC defense, Hipolito Suero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Niguel. The Ciénaga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Niguel should have stopped the shot. Rigoberto Niguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Pacifico in the 58th minute of play. Leo Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, Ciénaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Bartoli to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Niguel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hipolito Suero's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Leo Pacifico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Niguel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Rigoberto Niguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Pacifico, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hipolito Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Barreal FC's Leo Pacifico in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciénaga FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Hipolito Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barreal FC had played much better football throughout.
