In the 96th minute of the match, Teobaldo Ubelteso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulises Esquipula was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Injunados Unidos's Cristobal Benitez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulises Esquipula in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Injunados Unidos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Injunados Unidos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
