Cayetano Medardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Paulin having to interfere. Candido Herensuge charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Herensuge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Candido Herensuge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute of the match Tobias Vellito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Efren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Medardo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Paulin saved Rivadavia FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rivadavia FC's Javier Tulio got a free kick in the 30th minute. Vladimiro Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Medardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cayetano Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Rivadavia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Tulio to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Sabino to make the kick off. Rivadavia FC's Tomas Belasko got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimiro Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osvaldo Sabino kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Vladimiro Martino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Gilberto Paulin made a huge save. Oscar Efren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Belasko in the 68th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, DANTE LA BANCA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Belasko came free, but Oscar Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Piearres's late challenge caught a Rivadavia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Sabino in the 87th minute of play forced DANTE LA BANCA FC's goalkeeper Oscar Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Tomas Belasko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oscar Efren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cayetano Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
