If Mauricio Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Revancha FC's Mauricio Senon got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Argina acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodrigo Havier. Gaston Bastian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Vicente Argina made a huge save. Vicente Argina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gaston Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Senon in the 38th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Darien was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Gaston Bastian made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Argina. La Revancha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mauricio Senon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Montel having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Daniel Guerrero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Iztal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vicente Argina. La Revancha FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 69 played minutes A.C. Vigal got a freekick which was hit by Diego Asier. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Senon got free with Basilio Montel in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. La Revancha FC's Vicente Argina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Ponce in the 75th minute of play. Adolfo Ponce might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Argina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Ponce ran back to his position shaking his head. Mauricio Senon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Batista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Montel having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Darien in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basilio Montel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Montel having to interfere.
