The audience was convinced that Damian Ibar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulino Criston was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 6 minutes into the game, Ramona AFC's Bruno Peli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erubiel Sesuldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Ibar in the 17th minute of play forced Ramona AFC's goalkeeper Paulino Criston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Criston didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Galle F.C.'s Saul Flor shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When Conrado Arce fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ramona AFC's protests and gave Conrado Arce a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ramona AFC! Bruno Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Erubiel Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Rodas's late challenge caught a Ramona AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Rodas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ramona AFC booed when Galle F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Flor struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Paulino Criston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galle F.C.. When Damian Ibar came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Galle F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Ibar couldn't finish the play. Bruno Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Sesuldo having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Ibar to strike the kick off in the second half. Saul Flor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Paulino Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galle F.C.'s Erubiel Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Peli in the 58th minute of play. Bruno Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Fidele struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Erubiel Sesuldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramona AFC. Bruno Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Ibar in the 67th minute of play forced Ramona AFC's goalkeeper Paulino Criston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Peli might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erubiel Sesuldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Peli ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Gaskon in the 69th minute of play forced Galle F.C.'s goalkeeper Erubiel Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galle F.C.'s Damian Ibar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Flor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Ramona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Fidele to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Ubaldo Jaunzuria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulino Criston skillfully saved the ball. When Bruno Peli came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ramona AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Peli couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lázaro Gaskon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramona AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Gaskon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Sesuldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Maximo Fidele left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ramona AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 94 played minutes Ramona AFC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Fidele. Paulino Criston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Ibar's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
