Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Angelo Montel got the match started through his kick off. Evaristo Rioja was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorge Unax showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. In the 10th minute, Eulalio Inautzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Rioja was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 16 minutes into the match, Arerunguá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Montel came free, but Gilberto Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Montel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Angelo Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Gabon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Montel might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Gabon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Montel ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Montel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Unax to make the kick off. Evaristo Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Librado in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Millonarios's Felix Llorienzo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Jorge Unax's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Rioja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If Agustin Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes, Millonarios's Edgardo Ferdinand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Gabon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Millonarios reached it. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arerunguá FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Gabon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Montel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilberto Gabon came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelo Montel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 77th minute. In the 83rd minute, Angelo Montel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Adrian Guerau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millonarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Guerau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
