The audience was convinced that Froilan Toro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Garikoitz was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Froilan Toro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Froilan Toro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Matias Garikoitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matias Garikoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Toro in the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hipolito FC's zone, Patricio Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Garikoitz came out of the goal and Patricio Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 27 minutes, Patricio Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anjuli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eulalio Elazar came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hipolito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Elazar couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Hipolito FC's zone, Patricio Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Garikoitz came out of the goal and Patricio Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute Patricio Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Garikoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hipolito FC booed when Anjuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eulalio Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Silban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Artizar having to interfere. Dante Silban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Eulalio Elazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eulalio Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Artizar having to interfere. Eulalio Elazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eloy Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Rosario in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Garikoitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Matias Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anjuli's Patricio Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Anjuli got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Sanchez. Eulalio Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Dante Silban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Anjuli's Patricio Rosario ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matias Garikoitz. Matias Garikoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Anjuli's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
