Fabian Galeno started the match with the kick off. Tobias Cefero hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The supporters of Limón booed when la juve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Maties didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Isusko got free with Gustavo Satordi in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jaime Isusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Limón getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Raimundo Dominic hit a great ball. The supporters of Limón booed when la juve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Otsoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Argider, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Argider in the 38th minute of play forced la juve's goalkeeper Mauro Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of la juve booed when Limón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Maties to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Isusko couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind la juve's goalkeeper Mauro Otsoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Fabian Galeno came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Limón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Galeno couldn't finish the play. After having played for 67 minutes, Fabian Galeno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Galeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Zeledon Munio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. la juve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limón the free kick. A collision led to la juve getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jonatan Constancio hit a great ball. Mauricio Argider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauricio Argider received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mauro Otsoa came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauricio Argider slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Raimundo Dominic suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Celso Xacintu fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored la juve's protests and gave Celso Xacintu a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes la juve got a freekick which was hit by Celso Xacintu. Mauro Otsoa made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Mauricio Argider sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, la juve's Fabricio Maties sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Satordi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabricio Maties received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gustavo Satordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 played minutes la juve got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Cefero. The long shot by Eriberto Abaurre in the 90th minute really tested Mauro Otsoa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Galeno during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabian Galeno kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Gustavo Satordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Maties in the 97th minute of play.
