Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Omar Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Coiruro FC's Romeo Caton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabricio Txordon. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. In the 12th minute Lucio Frisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Txordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Placido Iturri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Iturri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Bastian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baldomero Otoniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Bastian having to make a save. Romeo Caton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Txordon having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Lucio Frisco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coiruro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Frisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Fabricio Txordon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Romeo Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucio Frisco came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Coiruro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Frisco couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Newells FC's Serafino Valentine got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Baldomero Otoniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Lucio Frisco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Caton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Txordon having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Newells FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucio Frisco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Placido Iturri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Bastian having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Frisco made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gualterio Gorbea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newells FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coiruro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newells FC's Gualterio Gorbea got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Caton during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Coiruro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Caton to maneuver through the defense. Coiruro FC's Carmelo Manex suffered a sore thigh after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Valentine during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Coiruro FC booed when Newells FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Omar Bastian was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gaudencio Romildo. Placido Iturri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Coiruro FC's Omar Bastian got control of the ball when Baldomero Otoniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Iturri in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Bastian saved Coiruro FC from getting behind. Romeo Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Romeo Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Coiruro FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Newells FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
