The supporters of Laplacette FC booed when Salto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Joey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adan Casado got free with Laureano Librado in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adan Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd match minute, Laplacette FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Romildo to maneuver through the defense. Adan Casado struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Laureano Librado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salto FC. In the 26th minute Diego Orain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Librado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salto FC's Cristo Lluterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Porfirio in the 28th minute of play. Diego Orain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Lluterio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 48 played minutes Laplacette FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Millano. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Laplacette FC's zone, Diego Orain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Librado came out of the goal and Diego Orain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristo Lluterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Ricart in the 59th minute of the match. If Fausto Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Salto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Ricart came free, but Cristo Lluterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Casado in the 72nd minute of play forced Laplacette FC's goalkeeper Laureano Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Lluterio was a little too slow when Fausto Ricart got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-2. Laplacette FC's Modesto Porfirio got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ermegildo Neto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laureano Librado. Laplacette FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Diego Orain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Laureano Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Porfirio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Lluterio having to interfere. The Laplacette FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laplacette FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
